The Home Access Center (HAC) is a browser-based student information system that allows parents/guardians and high school students to view student information such as: demographics, attendance data, class schedules, discipline incidents, student progress, and report card grades. The HAC is designed to provide parents, students, and guardians with helpful student information to support and guide their children through the educational process. E-mail links are also available throughout the portal so parents can communicate with the school and teachers.
Technology at Great Oaks Elementary
Great Oaks has two Next Generation Digital Classrooms which allow 1-to-1 access to Chromebooks or Samsung Galaxy Note tablets. Susan Rantz and Lauren Holmes are our NextGen grade-level teachers.
Our library is also part of our RRISD Next Gen community, and hosts Samsung Galaxy Note tablets. Clarissa Grindle is our Next Gen Librarian who ensures every student has an opportunity to access technology in the library as often as possible.

Great Oaks Elementary has two 25-seat computer labs equipped with Dell Optiplex 7010s. We also have six carts of district provided laptops/Chromebooks which are shared between classrooms. In addition, more technology has been made available to students through a combination of campus and PTA funds, and teacher-written grants.
Model Digital Citizenship is a priority here at Great Oaks. RRISD has chosen Common Sense Media as our digital citizenship curriculum resource standard. Click here for more information on that program.
