RRISD has implemented a one-to-one device-to-student initiative. Great Oaks recently received six-hundred-forty-six new Dell 3100 Chromebooks and has distributed most of those devices to students in grades 2 through 5. Older devices collected and still under warranty are in the process of being cleaned and updated and will be distributed to students in lower grades as they are received.

Parents/Guardians are required to sign this form in order for the new device to be given to students. If your student has not yet received a new device, please ensure you have completed the form and contact Great Oaks ITS, Julie Scully, to request a device for your student.

Next year will also include several changes to facilities and staff as we grow.  We will be adding 4 new portables – each with their own restrooms.  In addition, we will add a restroom portable for more accessibility.  A campus map showing the locations of the new portables is linked below.

If you plan to be one of our WatchDOGS, go on a field trip, volunteer in the classroom or library, or work with students, you must complete the online application AND receive approval – Online Volunteer Application.

Some helpful tips to remember when submitting your volunteer application:

1. Please complete the entire form.
2. Select the school(s) where you would like to volunteer (you can choose more than one school).
3. Please make sure that you click the SUBMIT button.
