Great Oaks Elementary School 
Students from all over the world attend Great Oaks Elementary Leadership Academy. EB (Emergent Bilingual) Facilitator, Stephanie Anthes, opens the Language Lab at 7:05 a.m. and regularly packs the house with English-learning students. Students hone their English listening, reading, and speaking skills using Imagine Learning, a personalized learning program that simultaneously accelerates both literacy skills and English language development
Recently EB students enriched their vocabulary with a hands-on pumpkin activity where they learned words like slimy, carve, scoop, and scary. Mrs. Anthes, pictured seated at the table on the right, has created a welcoming room that acknowledges and celebrates all students, their home cultures, and languages.
